Answers to common questions about playing on tavlo.gg. If yours isn’t here, write to [email protected].
Do I need an account?
No. Every game works without an account or sign-in. Open a game and start playing. Signing in with Google is optional and keeps your progress on every device where you sign in.
How is my progress saved?
Your settings, progress and unfinished games are saved in this browser on this device. When you play online, add a friend or turn on reminders, our server also keeps a guest profile for this device with a copy of your progress.
Without signing in, progress stays with the browser you play in. If you clear your browser’s site data, or play on another device, it won’t come with you.
How do I download or clear my data?
Open Settings and choose Download or clear my data. Download my data saves a copy of what this device keeps as a file. Clear my data deletes your online profile, friends, league places and reminders from our servers, then wipes the data on this device. It can’t be undone.
How do I change the sound?
Open Settings and look under Sound. Effects controls the sounds of cards, dice and pieces, and Voice controls the announcer. Settings also has the theme, card size, game speed and Reduce motion.
How do I keep my scores off leaderboards?
Open Settings and turn off Show me on leaderboards to keep your scores off your friends’ boards and the game leaderboards. Turn off Weekly leagues to stop joining a league table. Changes apply from your next game.
Daily challenge boards show the table name and avatar you picked, so choose a name you’re happy to share.
How do I turn reminders on or off?
Reminders are off unless you turn them on and allow them in your browser. You’ll find them in Settings under Notifications. To stop them, turn them off there, or block notifications for our site in your browser.
Where are the rules?
Every game page has its full rules under How to play. The How to play page lists them all.
How do I report a bug?
Write to [email protected] with the game, what happened, and your device and browser. A screenshot helps a lot. When something breaks, the game also sends us a short error report without your name or other personal details.
